Working with Hawaiʻi’s Populations

Serving Hawaiʻi’s diverse communities requires cultural awareness, humility, and a deep respect for history and place. What does it mean to show up in a way that is pono? This module offers space to learn about the unique strengths, challenges, and lived experiences of Hawaiʻi’s people—encouraging reflection and practices rooted in respect, relationship, and reciprocity.

This training is designed to support new staff and can be used as part of onboarding or orientation. It also encourages self-directed learning, allowing participants to set their own learning goals and revisit materials at their own pace.
