Journey to Make Pono
Locally, the 2024 ʻOhana Fest took place at Maui Nui Botanical Gardens on Saturday April 6 from 10 am – 2 pm. This year’s theme is “Journey to Make Pono” to support healing and recovery, based on the Hoʻoikaika Partnership’s children’s book Kalo Boy’s Adventure to Make Pono: He Huakaʻi ʻOhana.
We are focusing on culturally relevant activities that are fun for the whole family and/or help build protective factors. Plan for about 200 people.
Agencies please join our friendly competition to boost attendance. Prizes for the top 3 agencies that refer the most families.
Questions? Contact Community Engagement Committee co-chairs Connie Meekhof or Heidi Allencastre.
