“I gave away copies at our Keiki Story Time at Lahaina District Court on April 16th (see photos below). We read books on the topics of kalo and ‘ohana and I shared briefly on the ways to read and engage in conversation using the Kalo Boy story and prompts within it. Some caregivers recognized the book and already had a copy.

I shared about Kalo Boy at the PLA Conference with a few librarians who have experience working with community partners. The sessions about SEL, partnerships, and programming holistically (centered on relationships and social emotional learning) were engaging and affirming!”
