Hoʻoikaika Cares: Healing the Healers

We are so happy to announce Ho’oikaika Cares-Healing the Healers monthly sessions for the next year! Co-facilitated by Michele Navarro Ishiki of MNI Counseling and Heidi Allencastre, Hoʻoikaika Navigator at Maui Family Support Services, activities include time to connect; creative, calming self-care; and lunch.

This is a safe, supportive space for providers to decompress and focus on their mental health and wellness. As we all know, self-care is extremely important but with short staffing, high caseloads, and everything that Maui families are experiencing right now, providers don’t always prioritize their self-care. We encourage all directors and supervisors to allow staff to attend these sessions on paid time.

There are up to 40 spots available. If you register and cannot attend, please notify Heidi so someone else may benefit and we can be pono with stewardship of these funds.
