This framework best describes my journey as a Resource Caregiver (RCG formerly known as “foster parent”). The Four Senses: Pilina – Sense of Association, Pikoʻu – Sense of Connection, Pono – Sense of Wellbeing, Kuleana – Sense of responsibility.
Ho’okama’āina is to become acquainted with our family. It was an ordinary hot day in the summer when we got a knock on our door and instantly turned from a family of five to a family of seven in less than 30 minutes.
The video features Kristy, a dedicated mother of five children, and her ‘ohana who went through the system, struggling to find stability, asking for help, falling short at times but always getting back up.
