2023 ‘Ohana Fest Event

In 2023, The Ho’oikaika Partnership hosted a vibrant event in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Attendees explored resources from 40 local agencies, engaged in Native Hawaiian activities, and enjoyed a plant giveaway. Activities included the Maui Bookmobile, reading circles,free books, origami and learning about seed saving.  There were also raffles, prizes, and lively entertainment featuring Uncle Wayne, hula dancers, and Da Braddahs. The Mayor’s office delivered the Child Abuse Prevention Month proclamation, demonstrating community support for keiki and families.
