The focus of our agenda is the release of a county-wide child and family needs assessment conducted by the Stellar Group. By synthesizing existing data from the last five years, they explored the most prevalent risk and protective factors for Maui County children and families. This report also examines the support services available to prevent child maltreatment and the service gaps that exist.

The Community Engagement Committee will showcase “A Journey to Healing,” a short film created by the students at Maui Waena Middle School about a local family overcoming challenges and the stigma of accepting services. 

We’ll also share #OhanaTokStory, our social media campaign challenge and tool kit.
