Remembrance and Gratitude: Commemorating August 8th

Remembrance and Gratitude, Commemorating August 8th

Aloha Partners and Allies,

As we mark the one-year anniversary of the tragic wildfires that swept across Maui, our hearts are heavy with remembrance and gratitude. This past year has been a testament to the incredible resilience and unwavering spirit of our community.

To our health and human service providers on Maui, your tireless dedication and compassion have been the cornerstone of our recovery efforts. You have been a beacon of hope and support for those affected, embodying the true essence of Aloha. We extend our deepest mahalo to each of you for your extraordinary service during this challenging time.

To our colleagues on Oʻahu and the other neighbor islands, your solidarity and assistance have been invaluable. Your willingness to stand with us, offering resources and support, has made a profound difference in our collective response.

As we continue to heal and rebuild, let us honor the memories of those we lost by strengthening the bonds that unite us. Together, we will move forward with renewed purpose and a commitment to fostering a more resilient and compassionate community where all our ʻohana are healthy, safe, and supported.

Me ka mahalo piha,
